Common Term: Moneyline

Moneyline

Meaning:

Who will win the event outright.


For example:

Team A's Moneyline displays: -150

Team B's Moneyline displays: +200


Live displays have the ability to fluctuate within a second in real-time.


Team A Moneyline: -150

 Team A's minus (-) sign signifies it is anticipated to be the "favorite".


You would need to risk 150 units to win 100 units for a total of 250 units returned, or fraction thereof. 


Likewise, you would need to risk 15 units to win 10 units for a total of 25 units returned, or fraction thereof. 

Team B Moneyline: +200

Team A Moneyline: -150

Team B Moneyline: +200

 Team B's positive (+) sign signifies it is anticipated to be the "underdog". 


You would risk 100 units to win 200 units for a total of 300 units returned, or fraction thereof. 


Likewise, you would risk 15 units to win 30 units for a total of 45 units returned, or fraction thereof. 

Common term: Point Spread

Team A Spread: -6.5

Team A Spread: -6.5

Meaning:

The anticipated leveling of sides in which one side is more likely to win than the other.


For example:

Team A's Spread displays: -6.5 at -110

Team B's Spread displays: +6.5 at -110


If won, either would win at -110 odds. Which means, if you risked 110 units, you would win 100 units, or fraction thereof.


Live displays have the ability to fluctuate within a second in real-time.

Team A Spread: -6.5

 Team A's minus (-) sign signifies it is anticipated to be the "favorite". 


You would need to subtract 6.5 points from Team A's outright score to win.


If the outright score was Team A 20 points and Team B 13 points, after including the spread, Team A would now have 13.5 points and Team B would have 13 points.


Therefore, Team A -6.5 spread would win.

Team B Spread: +6.5

Team B Spread: +6.5

Team B's positive (+) sign signifies it is anticipated to be the "underdog". 


You would add 6.5 points to Team B's outright score to win.


If the outright score was Team A 16 points and Team B 10 points, after including the spread, Team B would now have 16.5 points and Team A would have 16 points.


Therefore, Team B +6.5 spread would win.

Common Term: Total or "Over/Under"

Meaning:

The anticipated total of how many points will be scored in the game overall, both teams combined.


For example:

The events Total or "Over/Under"  displays: 99.5 at -110


If won, either would win at -110 odds. Which means, if you risked 110 units, you would win 100 units, or fraction thereof.


Live displays have the ability to fluctuate within a second in real-time.

At the end of the event, Team A scored 60 points and Team B Scored 50 points, which would be a total of 110 points.

Parlay

Meaning:

The combination of selections, or legs, that involve pairing selections together into one selection. Legs can be made of different games.


Pro:

Parlays have the potential to turn a small unit risked into a large unit win.


The more legs, the larger the potential win.


Con:

All legs in a parlay must win for the parlay to be deemed a win.


The more legs, the less likely all legs will win.

Leg 1: Team A Moneyline -110

Leg 2: Team C Spread +6.5 at -110


Parlay Odds: +264


If BOTH Legs 1 and 2 win, the parlay wins at +264 odds.


Therefore, if you risked 100 units, you would win 264 units, for a total return of 364 units.


If you risked 10 units, you would win 26.4 units, for a total return of 36.4 units.

Meaning:

 A parlay comprised of multiple selections within the same event. 


Pro:

SGPs have the potential to turn a small unit risked into a large unit win.


The more legs, the larger the potential win.


Con:

All legs in a SGP must win for the SGP to be deemed a win.


The more legs, the less likely all legs will win.

SGP Odds: +377


If BOTH Legs 1 and 2 win, the SGP wins at +377 odds.


Therefore, if you risked 100 units, you would win 377 units, for a total return of 477 units.


If you risked 10 units, you would win 37.7 units, for a total return of 47.7 units.

Leg 1: Team A Moneyline +150

Leg 2: Team A/Team B O8.5 at -110

Therefore, if you risked 10 units, you would win approximately 5534 units.


If you risked 1 unit, you would win approximately 553 units.

Props refer to a proposition regarding a player statistic, team statistic, or outcome in a sporting event overall. 


There are many different props and some sites offer a lot of prop options, whereas other sites may have limited prop options.

Typically, props are able to be parlayed or SGP'd.

Typically, props are able to be parlayed or SGP'd.

COMMON TERM: teaser

Meaning:

  A teaser is like a parlay in that you are combining multiple selections. The difference is that teasers enable the lines to be moved in your favor.  


Pro:

Higher chance of win with less risk compared to a parlay.


Con:

Odds are not as high compared to a parlay.


The more legs, the less likely all legs will win.

Therefore, if you risked 100 units, you would win 125 units, for a total return of 225 units.


If you risked 10 units, you would win 12.5 units, for a total return of 22.5 units.

Meaning:

 A round robin is like a parlay, but yet, a combination of various parlays. With a round robin, you are able to combine a number of selections into a number of individual parlays. 


Pro:

Convenient way to group parlays without having to do them individually.


Con:

Less payout for the same amount of money risked compared to a parlay.

Wager 1: Leg 1 & Leg 2

Wager 2: Leg 1 & Leg 3

Wager 3: Leg 1 & Leg 4

Wager 4: Leg 2 & Leg 3

Wager 5: Leg 2 & Leg 4

Wager 6: Leg 3 

Example:

Leg 1: Team A Spread +3 at -110

Leg 2: Team C Spread -1 at -110

Leg 3: Team E Spread +4 at -110

RR by 2's would be of 6 separate combinations, and would require 6 separate wagers:

RR 2s x 6 = +264


If you were to risk 10 units for each wager on a RR by 2s at 6 wagers and won all 6 wagers, you would be risking 60 units, to win approximately 158 units, for a total return of 218 units.


Comparingly, if you parlayed the same risk of 60 units instead of RR 2s, the parlay odds would be +1228, which would be a win of approximately 736 units, for a total return of 796 units.

Example:

Leg 1: Team A Spread +3 at -110

Leg 2: Team C Spread -1 at -110

Leg 3: Team E Spread +4 at -110

Leg 4: Team G Spread -7 at -110


RR by 3's would be of 4 separate combinations, and would require 4 separate wagers:


Wager 1: Leg 1 & Leg 2 & Leg 3

Wager 2: Leg 1 & Leg 2 & Leg 4

Wager 3: Leg 1 & Leg 3 & Leg 4

Wager 4: Leg 2 & Leg 3 & Leg 4


RR 3s x 4 = +595


If you were to risk 10 units for each wager on a RR by 3s at 4 wagers and won all 4 wagers, you would be risking 40 units, to win approximately 238 units, for a total return of 278 units.


Comparingly, if you parlayed the same risk of 40 units instead of RR 3s, the parlay odds would be +1228, which would be a win of approximately 491 units, for a total return of 531 units.

COMMON TERM: LADDER

Ladder

Meaning:

 A ladder is a system where the unit value increases with each win, and after a loss, the unit value returns to the initial value.


Pro:

Allows the potential of larger profits using already-earned profits or "house money" and quicker recuperation of losses. 


Con:

Increasing unit values is riskier compared to having a consistent unit value.

Example:

Day 1: Unit value is $10 per unit. You win Day 1, you gained 2.5 units, and now your total bankroll is $35.


Day 2:  Unit value is $10 per unit.

You win Day 2, you gained 1.5 units, and now your total bankroll is $50.


Day 3: Unit value is $10 per unit.

You win Day 3, you gained 3.5 units, and now your total bankroll is $85.


For this exa

Example:

Day 1: Unit value is $10 per unit. You win Day 1, you gained 2.5 units, and now your total bankroll is $35.


Day 2:  Unit value is $10 per unit.

You win Day 2, you gained 1.5 units, and now your total bankroll is $50.


Day 3: Unit value is $10 per unit.

You win Day 3, you gained 3.5 units, and now your total bankroll is $85.


For this example, in 3 days, if you selected a straight system, your bankroll would be $85.

You win Day 3, you gained 3.5 units, and now your total bankroll is $393

Example:

Day 1: Unit value is $10 per unit. You win Day 1, you gained 2.5 units, and now your total bankroll is $35.


Day 2:  Unit value is now (up to) $35.

You win Day 2, you gained 1.5 units, and now your total bankroll is $87.50.


Day 3: Unit value is now (up to) $87.50.

You win Day 3, you gained 3.5 units, and now your total bankroll is $393.75.


For this example, in 3 days, if you selected a ladder system, your bankroll would be $393.75.


If at any point during the ladder system there is a loss, the client would restart their chosen system the next day with their original unit value.
